Assembly Technician
Location : Auburn Hills, MI
Shift: 1st or 2nd
Pay rate : $23-$25 /hr

Position Summary
We are seeking an Assembly Technician to assemble and test mechanical and electromechanical products according to engineering specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, experience interpreting technical drawings, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-5 years of mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Experience with mechanical assemblies, gears, and pneumatic components.
• Proficient with hand and power tools and precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators).
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of manufacturing safety practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical subassemblies, robots, cable systems, rails, and related components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
• Meet daily production schedules while maintaining quality standards.
• Inspect completed assemblies and accurately document assembly and test results.
• Complete work orders in the ERP system.
• Use and maintain hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
• Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety procedures, including PPE and Lockout/Tagout.

• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of manufacturing safety practices and procedures.
