Role Overview

Apply your biotechnology development judgment to help evaluate and improve advanced AI models. Your experience will inform the standards used to assess model outputs on real-world bioprocess, therapeutic development, assay, and developability questions.

This is an ongoing talent-pool listing, not a role tied to a currently active project. Matching projects may begin with little notice, and qualified experts are contacted when work aligned with their background becomes available.

Key Responsibilities

• Create development problems based on programs you have worked on, including the modality, process step, required specification, and a reference answer used to evaluate AI responses.
• Assess AI-generated process and assay development work, including scale-up assumptions, potency-assay validity, and whether release criteria are justified.
• Identify cases where an AI proposal is scientifically sound but would not meet developability expectations because of manufacturability, stability, or regulatory acceptability.
• Clearly document the reasoning behind your evaluations and flag ambiguous instructions when clarification is needed.

Qualifications

• Professional or research experience in biotechnology, bioprocess development, or therapeutic development.
• Experience making real development decisions and the ability to explain the rationale behind them.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Comfort working through ambiguous tasks and identifying unclear direction.

Work Terms

• Remote, hourly independent-contractor engagements.
• Project assignments are offered based on fit and availability. Each project invitation identifies the applicable rate, hours, and client.
• A completed application to this standing listing does not result in an immediate acceptance or rejection decision. A matching opportunity may arise within a week or take several months, depending on available projects.

Compensation

Most biotechnology contracts pay $110 to $125 per hour, with the final rate set for each project based on its scope and depth.
