Mail Courier / Driver Job Description: As a
Mail Courier / Driver , you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of mail and packages to various locations. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of service that our customers expect. This position requires a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Experience in driving and handling mail is strongly desired.
Compensation & Benefits for the Mail Courier / Driver: - Pay rate: $18.50 - $19.50 per hour

Hours & Logistics: - Monday - Friday
- First Shift (6:30am-3:00pm with some variation to support workload)
- Location: Long Island City, NY
Ideal Experience for the Mail Courier Position: - Professional driving experience with companies such as FedEx, UPS, United States Postal Service (USPS) or similar organizations that handle mail/parcel deliveries
- Experience in handling and/or sorting mail and packages
- Corporate mail room experience
Key Responsibilities: - The Mail Courier / Driverwill collect and deliver mail and packages to and from specified locations.
- Sort and organize mail and packages for efficient delivery.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for delivery.
- Ensure the security and confidentiality of all mail and packages.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
- Report any issues or delays encountered during delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance.
- Use basic computer systems to log deliveries, track shipments, and maintain records.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
Requirements: - Valid driver's license.
- Clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a driver; experience in mail delivery is a plus.
- Ability to lift and carry mail and packages up to [weight limit, e.g., 50 pounds].
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills (email, data entry, and simple tracking systems).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and reliably.
- Familiarity with local streets and neighborhoods.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
